OFSTED – March 2018

Our last OFSTED inspection was in March 2018. The Inspection Team judged that our school was good, and recognised our many strengths.OFSTED said:-

  • The leadership team had maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection.
  • Governors take a very active and influential role in school improvement.
  • Pupils say how much they love their school!
  • Pupils are respectful and proud of the well-maintained and cared-for environment in which they learn.
  • Safeguarding is effective.
  • Pupils’ attendance is in line with that of other primary schools nationally.
  • Pupils’ behaviour in lessons and at other times of the school day is very good.
  • All staff have high expectations and expect pupils and adults to be respectful and courteous at all times.
  • Pupils take on different responsibilities with pride, confidence and efficiency.
  • The Additional Needs team work well with outside agencies to ensure the needs of pupils and their parents are well met.
  • Learning is culturally relevant and gives pupils first hand experiences of life in Britain.
  • Pupils are encouraged to be aspirational by visiting local universities and taking part in enterprise weeks.
  • Adults make sure that the rich curriculum extends beyond lesson times, as pupils have access to over 25 different clubs and activities at lunchtime and after school.
